I just got my 5D mark !! Here some test results...

Not to mention, perhaps the person is asian themself, so it might not be a fetish at all.

I have a friend who is half chinese, half italian. He "looks" more asian. People always say he has a fetish for non-asian women. We laugh about it.

She is very pretty. So is the locations.

EXIF in his Pbase images shows he had exposure comp at +1/3 or +1 for all of these shots. My guess is that he was so excited to have the 5dmkII in hand that he forgot to check his head. =) Which, by the way, is totally understandable. Heck, the model alone is enough to make anyone forget to check all the exposure settings.

my experience also.. 1 'black dots' frame in about 900 so far... including last night at Van Deusen Gardens festival of lights...

none at all in portraits..

to the OP...

always start with new gear assuming nothing... you need a baseline before you can make any sense of modification to parameters.. but your posted photos prove nothing... other than that you have a nice model to work with..

Even though know one would think that would be the way to spell lens,
I now (and others) know you can actually spell it "lense".
There are so many different wrong things within that sentence. The inherent irony is absolutely perfect.

The next time you decide to correct the spelling of someone who might not even be a native speaker of English (considering that TheVoIP is in Malaysia), think deeply about your own potential for spelling errors, syntax problems, and punctuational atrocities.

Then you might instead decide to leave well enough alone.

You're out of luck trying to open RAW files from the 5DMII in PS CS3.
You'll need CS4 to do that.

The workaround is to import the RAW files in DNG format. You loose no quality, nor editing possibilities in ACR (PS CS3), but you cannot open those in Canon software.

Look here for the DNG convertor 5.2 and more info.

BTW nice photos!

85 f1.8 is awesome. sharpest canon lens I've ever used.
Nice shots. Wish I had the 85L, but right now using the 85 f1.8.
Had other L lens on the priority list.

Trying to get my 5DMkII to recreate the black dots, but so far no
luck :) Will try again tonight.

Always interesting to compare to the work of the nay-sayers....

Thanks

Very good color, excellent exposure, skin-tones (under flash). Not bad at all for JPGs.
