Hello!

When I need to travel light and not bring the laptop,is there and external LCD montor around 6-7in,runs on batteries and connects thru the video port of the camera?

I only need to have a larger view and the camera LCD can sometimes be too small to be really useful.

I have seen some monitors used by professional video productions but the price is out of range.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks alot.

I have a 7" LCD Monitor 1440H X 234V 12 volt - I haven't tried it with the S2 but it should work fine. Call John at rock house products - he sold it to me. 888 919-2263 It was $376. http://rock2000.com

The Toshiba E570 (?) has a CF2 slot to take a MD. And probably others, including some that might take the SM card.

And I have come across quite reasonable-looking software which I assume can read and display karge files from the CF2, and which can do some limited initial manipulation.

I have long been surprised that the manufacturers haven't latched on to the potential of their dinky if expensive palmtops for the use of the digital photographer.

Anybody had a go along these lines?

Hi Johnny,

It is not discontinued - it is a new product and that is probably why it is not on the site.

Thanks Arnold!

Will keep an eye out for new listing on the site you recommended.Meanwhile ,just came from my dealer and saw a possible alternative made by LPL Japan made intially for videocams and runs on those 6V type batteries.

Slight problem could be that it is only 3in but price could be cheap. Also have dealer check with Japan if there is a bigger version.
That,s the story up to now.

Thanks again.
