When I try playing back pictures taken in the voice mode the picture is not very clear. When I view the picture without the audio it appears to be fine. Is there a special player to use for playback or is this something I have to live with.

This mode works great for parades but without a clear picture with the sound it doesn't seem worth it.

Any help appreciated.

Neil, I sent an email to sony and asked this question. There reply was to copy the file to your hard drive prior to playing the audio file. If you play the audio file from your memory stick first, it may distort your image. This is what sony said, does it work? I don't know, let me know when you try it and lets see if it works.

I don't think the guys at sont know what thier talking about. When taking a still picture with audio the camera produces two pictures, one at what ever resolution you're set at and the second as a 320 x 240 image (same as e-mail image) this low resolution image is the image the audio file is attached to basically a still mpg with sound. They are both kept in different folders. When listening to the audio it is probably showing the low resoltion image, probably why the picture is not clear, but this would have no effect on your full resolution image.

Mike,

Thank you, I think you have answered my question. I didn't think about the possiblility of the camera actually saving 2 pictures.

I might try using a small recorder and then combining the audio and picture for better results.

Thanks again,

I have had no problem with sound/picture distortion on playback, both have been very clear, has this happened more than once? I mean have you tried saveral scenes with sound and had the same problem?
I hope more will answer this thread.

I have tried this with many scenes with the same result.

What type of playback program are you using?
