Great job on keeping "just enough" details in the shadow areas. It'll be a tough one to print but I think it would be worth it to display it on the wall.
I agree with the need a little more light crowd. Just a hint more. Very nice idea and composition, IMO it could use just a touch more highlight on the girl.
When told the reason for Daylight Saving time the old Indian said... 'Only a white man would believe that you could cut a foot off the top of a blanket and sew it to the bottom of the blanket and have a longer blanket.'
half an hour later (I had to recalibrate my LCDs... thanks I can say: This is a very nice photograph. It screams 'retake me with b&w film camera', though!
Thanks for sharing,
cheers,

Exposing so the scene is dark. Often shadows go to black. There is usually a very light area to create a sharp contrast (Chiaroscuro effect).

Group Capt. Lionel Mandrake: I don't think they wanted me to say anything. It was just their way of having a bit of fun, the swines. Strange thing is they make such bloody good cameras.

Love f2 Oly lens wide open ... 14-35mm f2, & a 50mm f2+1.4TC is my fav. combo on two 'IS' oly bodys.
that's not low key - you are just avoiding blown highlights!
I quite like it - but it would be better to my eye if the lighting on the girl was a touch more. You can't just bring up the exposure though as the window area looks spot on as it is.
Did you mean it to look this dark on the web? When I loaded it into Photoshop it had an embedded profile (dot gain) and looked quite a bit lighter in the colour managed app.
in IE on my laptop, i literally could not even find the girl. slightly lighter on my desktop in photo software, i could at least tell it was an arm, but still seems extremely dark to me. my monitor must be worse than i thought...
