2 months ago I asked for advice on buying a DP1.
Thanks to all for the advice in particular Ann Chaikin, SandyF and Sigmachrome.
To say I am happy with my purchase is an understatement.
Here are 2 photos that were taken recently. (View with full image)

What i love about ithe DP1
The photos it produces.
The slowness of the write speeds.
The size.
The options to assigned 2 functions to the zoom switch
The quality of the lens.
Manual focus
Let me expand.
This camera has taken me back to my Contax T2 days.
This lens produces a quality like no other lens I have used on other brands. That includes Canon l series and top Nikon lens. There is no obvious distortion either.
The colors that it produces are amazing. As I am shooting in raw all the time (I think that this is a must with this camera) the processing options in the SPP software are great. It is so simple to use. The exposure latitude is 2nd to none and as I am really into HDR there is now no reason to shoot multiple images.
The slowness of the write speeds are really a god send. Now I have to think about my composition as I am going to be able to get loss shots in the same time frame as I would have with a Canon or Nikon. A side bonus is that instead of having to trawl through 300 images after an outing I only have to go through about 50 and there are more keepers percentage wise.
I love the manual focus. This really is super easy to use and gets rid on any shutter lag associated with auto focus. I highly recommend using this.
As you can see, I am a very happy photographer now.
Next on the list a DP2 or a SD15??
