Are these over processed? C&C

Samuel,

Hard to answer your question. The effect to my eyes is quite pronounced- I find them very interesting, but certainly very processed.

Here is a thought/question for you. Whenever I consider my post-processing options (including funky/creative stuff), I try and ask myself- "does this really enhance the image, or am I just enjoying applying a cool technique?".

Take care,

Thanks a lot for all your comments.
I was out today for work so my reply is a bit late.

They sure look far from natural. HDR is a mighty beast.
On one hand I'm never sure how to handle it but on the other it's really fun.

This is my city, and it's hard for me to take pictures from it. (i don't "see" it well)
I wanted it to look dark and depressive, a bit frightening too.

I also wanted to kind of mix architectural drawings (Schuiten for example) and photography.
I'll do some more as soon as I can find the time.

Once more, thanks for all your nice comments. It gives me the motivation to go on working.

cheers

They are good looking pics.
Anyway they're far away from reality but near to photo art.
It depends on what is your goal.

If you tell me they're photorealistic and that they will appear on some holyday magazine i would say the result is poor.

If you say you have interpreted the reality to convey another artistic message then i would say that the result is very good.

Cheers.

Francesco.
