Canon 5D MKII vs Apple iPhone camera..

Has anyone done a comparison check on these 2 yet?

I'm trying to find out if I should dump the phone's camera and get the new 5D when it comes out.

I heard that the iPhone's autofocus is better so you may want to hold onto it. The 5DmkII shoots video, but who needs that right? I say stick with the iPhone, you can get 8x10 prints that are SUPER sharp from it.

Surprinsingly the iPhone is a VERY capable camera, I was amazed..

I've been told by a very well positioned Canon rep. that 5DmkIII will have integrated phone (also a lot of games on it, he added) so you may want to wait and get the best of both worlds.

As it stands right now my iphone blows the doors off the production 5DM2. I did do a comparison to my 30D with expected results. There is no comparison, the 30D wins hands down.

I will evaluate my comparison next month of the 5DM2. We'll have to see then. ;^)

If you Jailbreak your iPhone there is a program that lets it shoot video at 6-15 fps.

(If it could do 24 fps most would probably go for this instead of the 5D MKII!)

I heard a jail broken Iphone will support direct fax in the near future. So to me, the choice is easy!
