I was outside taken pictures on July 4 off people playing croquet and in manual mode no matter what f-stop or speed the flash would always go off. I had it set to asa 400

juliSome of the Olympus cameras, the 700/720 for sure, have an aperture
and auto mode plus program and shutter and manual. I never know if
people are thinking auto with the A instead of program. You've got
it right.
