I see you got a million replies...Try this:
http://www . multicam.co.kr/shop/download/upload/camedia250. exe

Remove the space before the m & before the e so it will work to get you to the download. It's a full version of CamediaMaster 2.5 but is a lengthy download that can take hours on a modem but a mere ten minutes or so on DSL...You have to unzip the download cause the autorun doesn't work but once unzipped just hit the installer & it will install... It's been around a while but it's works well for me. there may be Win2000 updates at the Oly download page you might want to get after it's installed.

For the record, I don't flame people for posting that link, I simply point
out that it's not a "free upgrade" and that given it's a bootleg copy there
are risks that go along with it. Besides, if you're going to "upgrade" to a
package you're not entitled to, why not get something really useful. :-)

Personally, there are much better packages to use. I'd look at the lost
CD as an opportunity to get one of them. That is... purchase one from
a store.

Well since it's barely an upgrade than no harm passin it around....I only use it for the autoStitch pano since I'm too lazy to do em freestyle...LOL & I haven't even done a pano period, in months. & now that the Uzi is in the shop I can't even do an auto pano....LOL..I have been using it for months & can't say there's anything wrong with it & will hazard the guess that it's identical to the version that came with my Ezi....Believe me if it were a problem I'd not post it...Hell, I'd be suprised if Oly is still charging for it...I'm figurin the guy doesn't have a reader but I can't find the link to download one of those to send him....LOL

What about the smartmedia cards that people hack to get the pano. to work in the Olympus cameras? Do you have any problem with them doing that. After all, they are depriving Olympus of the premium that they get for their pano cards.

Not really since normal SMprepping a corrupted card ruins the oly pano tag which doesn't stop a card from being used in an oly but the pano's is gone & therefore would require you to get a new card since you can't perform a simple repair that is used to straighten out everything from floppies to harddrives. They should've done something that wouldn't get lost in a low-level but higher level of format than the Oly cameras format, cause the Oly camera doesn't uncorrupt the cards like the SMPrep or even the Fugi's in-camera format. Fugi's will bring an oly non-recognizable card back to recognizability so it can be formatted and used in an Oly, pano enabled or not, if they're going to charge so much more for it. if they wanted to force Oly users to use thier media they should've developed thier own like Sony...trying to proprietize an industry standard is just plain foolish...especially since the pano feature really isn't worth what they'd like to have us pay...I love the feature & it's relative ease & good performance when I've done it but I don't do it enough to warrant the expense & initially I hex-edited my MicroTech SMPrep to repair & re-enable the pano on an oly card I paid full price for that started my Uzi locking up within the 1st couple of weeks I owned it...I figure I bought the original card so I have the right to maintain it's quality & or usability anyway I see fit....how was I to know it does what it does to any industry standard SMCard....I went through those lockups for a whole year almost on a daily basis in the beginning this time last year....eliminating alot of extraneous things like not using thumbnail view while reviewing the card in a reader , copy & pasting rather than any other method to offload the pics, deletiting & formatting only in the camera & not in a reader & not uploading back onto the card from the computer as well as dedicating the cards to the camera all helped lessen the lock-ups cause I got it down to a once a month ordeal with the occurances lessening with each step I stopped doing & the pano-hack SMPrep bailed me out every time the camera locked up. The camera was corrupting the cards but I needed the reader & pano-smprep to fix the card....I've been through the Uzi wringer in this respect....But I still managed to shoot several thousand pics in my 1st year...The 10x"IS" addicted me to the point I had to get an e100rs to have while the Uzi is away having this problem fixed...I've gotten the 2 year extended warranty on both too & not just because of the lock-ups but the CCD quality is hit or miss too not to mention the mode dial isn't as sturdy as it might seem....Oly developed some great cameras but nit-picked & cut corners on a few key items that go along with outsourcing instead of doing it all themselves from the ground up..the line is so inconsistant that alot of people have never expierienced anything that had happened to me & do all the things on a daily basis I stopped doing on a daily basis with no ill effect & some others have suffered the dreaded SDS...& alota those happened after the warranty was up...So Oly gets thier money or loses a customer in the end....But the Uzi when it's functioning at it's purpose is an excellent working camera as far as focus, & exposure at least in "P" mode and works seemlessly with my B-300 & if & when they come up with a euz6100rs and if it works as well as my uzi barring the lockups I'll be right there on line to get one after a short wait for the price to drop....But I'm a died in the wool 10x "IS" man now & if nothing comes out then my ezi & uzi will be runn ragged into the ground & then I'll have to figure out what other camera to try by that time....I sure hope they last well after the warranties are up if thier successor takes that much longer.... Ok I've babbled enough... but I hope I made my point & answered you question...Even if it wasn't directed at me....LOL

Well considering that the only difference between a "pano" card and a non "pano" card is "OLYMPUS PAN 1.0", no, I have no problem at all.
It's not like there was actually custom code/software on the card that
made the mode work.

And when I say "OLYMPUS PAN 1.0" I mean exactly that. Fifteen ASCII
characters put in that special label field.

Thanks for your concise reply, and no you weren't babbling. I just got an uzi so I am soaking up whatever info I can at this point. Now all I need to do is palm off this useless Sandisk reader that I got and get one that will let me do some hacking. I know that I'm in the minority here, but I really like the Camedia Pano software. For me its easy and quick and it runs on my computer OK. Not like Pan. factory that took over 20 min. to do its thing. I only use the Camedia for pans. I mostly use Irfan for resizing, sharpening, etc. Someone gave me Photoshop 6 (uh oh....I feel a flame erupting) but I haven't really gotten into it yet.

Only if it comes with hacked pano cards :)
