***OPEN CHALLENGE#23 - Fall Colors***

You were fast with the results or what?!! Thanks a lot Mariusz for hosting a very good challenge and for voting my photo in the runners-up. Congratulations to the winners and everyone who participated with great photos. (I'm glad I see among the participants and winners many familiar people from the NIkon forum which is my "home" :-)
Regards Alex

Hi Mariusz,

Thanks for the voting and your verdict - and thanks for including me amongst your runner-ups - much appreciated.

Congratulations to Paul - a worthy winner, I must say.

Thanks for hosting a good challenge.

Many thanks for placing me with such good company.

I was thrilled to see my image selected and I'm honored to host the next challenge.
I'm going to give it some thought before I post. Stay tuned...

Regards,
Paul

Some very nice entries in this challenge. My personal fav what the
photo from Alexrig, every photo i see from you Alex makes me go WOW,
no idea how you do it but please dont stop.
Yes, Alex is a regular member of the Nikon entry-level dslr forum (D90-D40) and his images are outstanding. And he shoots them mostly with a D50 + 18-55 kit lens!!!

He's the true personification of the dictum "it's not the camera, it's the mind behind it ...".

--Thanks a lot Renato for your kind words! Unfortunately I cannot rely too much on the "not the camera but the mind behind it" fame these days as I have upgraded to D300- 16-85VR combo and people will expect it's only natural to do this with such an equippment ;-)
Note also that except Morris, you and me, phlyfisher is also one of us.

Yes, I just didn't recognized his login. Re cameras, almost all stuff you've posted thea I've seen came from the D50, and I haven't noticed any difference after you got the D300. Have you?
