Dragon Fly, I hope :c)

That was taken by hand as well. Bright lighting helps due to bringing the shutter speed down :)

The other two photos posted are great as well!

Ken, that's one of the best insect photos I've seen here lately.
Which camera are you using?
Jarrell
According to the images EXIF data, he used a Nikon 5000.

While growing up my family and I would float down the colorado river in the California/Arizona area and find a deserted spot and camp out for a couple of weeks. We would do this every year. It was a lot of fun! One of the things we saw on the river quite frequently were these little bugs (maybe up to two inches long). While we were floating out on an innertube or something these guys would come up and land for a while on our arms or chest or wherever. They never ever did anything mean, just stopped and looked at us for a while, and their feet holding onto our skin felt cool. They had pretty collors and those big cute round eyes, so we grew up calling them "Cutie Bugs". :) I never remember another name! Anyone in my family would know what bug is a cutie bug right off the bat! But the dictionary wouldn't...

Anyway, GREAT SHOT, ken! But, saying that is a little redundant since every bug shot you take is great! So lately people should just assume that if Ken took it, it looks great!

Keep it up! I still can't find any bugs around my house... just little TINY black ants. They're not cute or big enough to photograph and they're a pain in the butt!

Later,
Paul
Been wrong too many times with the bugs!

Thank you all for the kind words! It is very much appreciated.

Paul... here is a shot of a "cutie bugs"(?) face straight on. Not my favorite shot as it is flat and the face is slightly out of focus, but it the best facteshot I got.

Two more shots of same bug here if anyone is interested.

In each picture it looks as though the pupils are looking straight at me.

Now is that cute or what? :) They even seem to have an awkward little smile on there face! And they're very soft bugs. They land on you ever so gently and just look at you for a while before they take off and go to their next location. Okay... I'm sure me and my family are the only people that call them cutie bugs, but they are cute, and as far as any experience we've ever had, completely harmless.

I am curious though, what is their purpose? Do they polinate or something useful like that?

Thanks for the additional picture Ken!

Brilliant shot of a Damselfly Ken. Sharp as a tack with the fine hairs on the legs and details on the wings. Wonderful colour's in this shot.
All the best Ken and wish this was mine :-)). Well done.

Danny.
