I'm asking for some advice on a photo sharing site that is better than Photobucket. I know, they probably all are. But seriously, I'm looking for a free or cheap, easy to use site. Thanks in advance for any advice. PETE!

I use and like PBase. I think the price is reasonable and while some would suggest that it is not that easy to use, it is not that difficult once you get used to it. I like to view other peoples shots on PBase as the style is uncomplicated, no advertising and different layouts are available. No, I don't get a discount for giving a testimonial -:)

I think its easy and the layout is excellent you get the exif in clear detail, Ive seen other sites that are poor, small photos slow ect, like the previous poster said.

I'm trying to use Flickr to share photos with family members with mixed results. Some may be pilot error. However, it was a better site (easier sharing) before Yahoo got involved. In my opinion Yahoo is interested in gaining email addresses and the sharing process got more complicated for people.

Have used pbase for 2 or 3 years now and think it is one of the easiest sites to navigate for friends & family. Also I think it has the best layout for looking at other peoples galleries. It really is a photosharing site vs. a hosting site.

Wish you could create a new unique address that doesn't have to include the sites name in it like zenfolio... but at least you don't have say "smugmug" .... ;-)

Bottom line is that there are many sites. Each one is different and you should shop around a little before deciding which one you use. Plus it doesn't have to be a life long decision...

Just my opinion.....

I use flickr for 2 years. They just added videos but I have not used it. I think the big thing with flickr is the groups and community. I always find interest new shots and photographers there.
