Hello,

a few pictures taken in the Jacques-Cartier Valley (30 min. north of Quebec city).
Landscape : D300 + 18-200mm Vr
Wild life : D300 + 80-400mm Vr

This one was taken at ISO 3200, 1/80s, 220mm, f7.1
The noise is very low. I could have it print 12x18 without any fears

Thanks for looking !

Dan, your images are stunning! I have downloaded the lot & put them in my keepers. As I get to page 235 of David Busch's D300 book I am starting to get a handle on what these cameras can do. I live in the Southern Highlands below Sydney & we enjoy a semi-Canadian Autumn. This year we are enjoying on of the best Spring seasons in 10 years. Everything is green & growing fast. My Galloway cattle are looking like 44 gallon drums on posts!

Keep up the excellent work!

Hi Eric,

I think that you are too late to capture the autumn color in the JC valley. Even last weekend would had be late. The last pictures where taken 10 days ago and the leaves were already fallen very quickly. We had some rain and wind since that time and I'm sure that you won't see much colors. You will have to go south to find interesting colors. Still, you can go to the valley for the Moose and some early morning lanscape. The morning fog make great scenerie.

Merci pour le commentaire positif !

Just a beautiful set of photos. You have a great eye for composition and impeccable PP work.

Is the first shot with the cabin hdr or composite? I think it is a great shot.

Thanks for sharing.

I hope I get some shots like yours on my trip to Shenandoah Valley, Virginia. Thanks for sharing.
