Hi,

I just got the digisnap and decided to use it for the firework tonight!! However, I couldn't get it to work nicely with my 995 set to bulb. Once I push the shutter release button on the digisnap, the shutter doesn't stay open. Anybody know the technique to use any of the digisnap buttons to act like a regular shutter release cord, i.e. the shutter stays open as long as I hold one of the digisnap buttons.

I appreciate any comment.

Thanks,
lit

You have to configure the DigiSnap to switch the way the button is used.

When you receive it from us, it's set so that when you press the ' ' button, it sets the camera to half-press (i.e. performs the autofocus and exposure), and when you release the button it takes the picture. What you want is for the shutter to open when you press the button, and to close when you release it.

Connect the DigiSnap to a terminal, enter the camera menu, and configure the Extended protocol option for 'Bulb'. That should do it!

All of this is described in the manual as well. Hope that helps!

Hi Mark,

Thank you very much. I can get it done in no time after reading your guide. I havn't paid much attention to the manual before. Now, I have to start reading the manual to make the most out of the digisnap.

Thanks again,
