G2's battery

I think my G2's battery is not good . Could you tell me how about your battery life?

Must say I have not been that happy with my battery life as well. Was leaving it in the camera given I intended using next day and was lucky to get 30 shots before battery low warning. Have not really tested it since I have been removing after use. Only had G2 for a month.

Love the G2 though.

If your batery is new....it takes a few full charges to really get the thing going.

The battery in my G2 has a mind of its own. 9 times out of 10 I get 250 - 300 photos before recharging. Then for no reason after charging all night the charge light will only be orange and the battery will go flat after 20 - 30 photos. Weird. I will then recharge and get 200 - 300 again!
Dont know why this happens!

Thanks, I will bear that in mind.

Do you find leaving the battery in the camera for a day or 2 has much effect on battery life?

define not good - and did you charge it?

my pro90 can take about 200 pictures on one battery (bp-511). the g2 i think doubles that. you should be able to take at least 300 pix with that battery.

there are two possibilities why:

1. your leaving the camera on between shots and letting it power down.

2. your firmware doesn't have the battery bug fix in it. i don't know if it was included in the g2 when it came out. the battery pretty much is killed due to the bug.

I got the battery that comes with my G2, it can takes 2 x 256mb in raw mode, LCD is on.
