Kudu [3 pics]

non D90 used. non VR lens used.
D50 with Nikkor 75-300mm f/4.5-5.6.
...I liked your comment (with tongue firmly in cheek) about the 'EXIF' data, Kevin, almost as much as the pictures you posted!!

Nice series - I liked your Zebra capture the best. It's good to know these animals are still around.

Regards from another non D90 Owner....;-)

Beautiful animal (and a good photo). Those ears are just wonderful. My fav from this set.

I personally would like to see just a little bit adjustment in it. It looks in my monitor just a bit blueish. So hope you don't mind, but one picture tells more than 1000 C&C's. So maybe something like this?:

Really good also. He looks like testosteron filled quick-tempered MALE with bad attitude.
zebra: - no, it's not related to the kudu, I just liked the pic, hope
you do too :)

I do like this one also. I am starting to get green from envy so I removed all the green from the picture.... ;) :

Thanks Mikko!

Notice how that ear is cocked, listening and observing? It's survival for them. Lions are not there friends

I don't mind, but as you say, the picture tells the story.. Africa is dry, dusty, and extremely hazy. It may be the haze that's giving the blue effect? The whites look white eg.

So, it that last one a W&B or a B&W ???? :D

Oh I wish I lived in the same country as you. And that my last name was the same as yours, and my first name... Charlize, maybe?? ;)

Maybe not. Maybe I prefer staying here where the only wild animals we see are mad cows and occasionally a bear or two. At least our spiders are of a more manageable size. LOL

Your pictures are wonderful. They always carry my imagination away and make me dream. Thanks for sharing. :)

P.S.: First one is my favorite.

It's not that bad, common sense prevails. Stay INSIDE the vehicle. Keep a safe distance etc...

Come take some of your own, Africa needs the tourist buck ;)
Thanks Carina

LOL

they are very skittish, and actually jump major fences in their attempts to get away.
They are prime Lion feed, so hotfooting it is their survival regime ;)
I've never heard of one attacking a human before.

Uh-oh, you're gonna get lynched for this now!
It's time for my monthly lynching, ain't it??? :D
Yes, as soon as you dare criticize the D90.

It's the glass, young man...!
which is lacking, I know :(
On the contrary!

Wonderful display here.
I love the first two because they are looking at you.
However the zebra is well shot as well.

Yes, as soon as you dare criticize the D90.
I would never do that to my potential upgrade machine!

Kevin, are you sure you used a D50 and not a D200? All 3 images exhibit banding, especially your horse in #3.

Very nice all the same, especially #1.
