I'm from a blue collar area (Steel making etc no non-sense hard working people, some call it fly over country) and I can't believe what anxieties are expressed on a regular basis here. From SDS to using your camera in hot weather to RichO talking about something I can't make heads or tails of with "The Sun, The Moon and YOU" (I guess he's from Texas but I would have guessed San Francisco :-)

Before coming to this forum I thought I had a high anxiety level but a lot of you are over the edge. Does Photography attract these kinds of people ? or is it the state of the country at large,if it is this coutry is in trouble......

Bill that makes us kinfolk. I was thinking the same thing. When I was about to retire I had 3 places picked.

SF area of CA (perfect weather) except I wouldn't get along with the people there they are total political opposites.
number 2 was Montanna but I don't think I could take the winter weather.

So I settled at my 3rd choice and haven't regreted it and don't know why it wasn't my first.

Well Bill, this forum attracted you - does that answer your question? Just kidding. All I know is that the world is made up of all kinds of people. If everyone thought and acted just like me, it would be a boring world.

sick? I don't want to guess your definition of sick, but I think the forum attracts people who have questions about their cameras and how to use them effectively. It is a great resource of information.

Regarding my question of using the camera in hot weather. If I received a lot of feedback informing me that the camera died in hot weather, I would be damn glad I asked the question.

Do I have anxieties about using my camera. No, no anxieties at all. In fact, I don't ever turn it on. I'm too afraid of SDS :)

Seriously, the openness of this forum and the great members it has makes me feel confortable in asking any question, regardless how silly they may seem.

Perhaps I'm just sick :(

Hi Billboy,

Since you used my name in this message are you saying I am sick?

Geeeeezzz man....

I post a message about how you can take advantage of the moon rising when the sun is setting so you can get some cool shots of the moon on the horizon as a back drop to some cool foreground and I am sick??

For me these forums are a source of info I would otherwise have to do tons of research for.

It is way more cost effective to learn from others mistakes then my own in this ever changing realm of digital photography.

There will always be questions that are considered stupid to some.
But the one asking is just uninformed not stupid or sick:-)

Oohh! I'll bet working with that hard steel makes you tired at the end of a long day. I think you need a fly message.

If you will simply read your responses to people, that should be a relatively easy question to answer.

BillyBoy,

I don't really know who you are or IF you are serious about this post, but you do not have to sound so nasty!

Rich O happens to be one incredible person with feeling just like any other human...do you have any??? As I said, you may be joking here, but it sure does not sound like it!

You are a photographer...so what kind of person are you? Not one that I really wish to know right now if you are serious.
If you do not like what is posted in the subject line...DONT' READ IT!

And just why would you expect him to be from San Francisco??? I live 1 hour south as well as Daniella and Doug T and we are all fine!

Get with it!

H'mm I live in N.W. Pa and you talk about hard working No-Nosense people I believe we fit that bill. My fore father's worked in the oil industry, the glass industry and I broke away and became an Engineer under my Dad's commands! We all have anxiety and what a better place to relieve some of it than here. It's good to know people still have family values as this family and apparently you don't. So there's lots of other places on the net that you can visit if your not comfortable here!

Hehe, yeah, well in case you didn't knew, he's the perfect man, he's born with a digital cam in his hands taking picture of the doctor the first thing when he saw light for the first time.

So everybody who is either new or not to this, but have questions, or any opinion at all, is sick in his eyes.

I really wonder who's sick in these forums,... could it possibly be BillyBoy? :-)
