When is there going to be an E3 replacement? Or did I miss it?

It would be good to have an indication of when though....

Actually the money question that was missed in the interview was will the new sensors, whether it be for the E-A1, E-3 replacement or E-530, have less noise and better high ISO performance. I can tell you that I am very fond of my E-510 and love it but the one thing that gets me every time is its high ISO performance (or lack of rather) and noise and banding levels. If Olympus could put a fix in this one area (say clean ISO 3200) I believe they could garner some more market share.

and overwhelming interest in certain topics by this forum, worked against getting every possible detail about future developments in the interview.

I would be willing to be that, in the list of questions from this forum, the date of the E-3 replacement was much further down the list than much hotter topics at the time (such as the tweener, development of m4/3, and issues of continuing support to, and overall future of, 4/3).

Like Bill I can read that there will be a E-3 replacement (implied in the interview); one of the good things I read. Also the commitment to 4/3rds is made very clear. (one can start doubting with the arrival of m4/3). Another good thing.
Olympus reading DPR...again a positive thing!

I saw that response from Phil himself. Of course the response will be "of course." That's simple marketing, but really when will Olympus iso performance match that of the other brands. Like I said I love my e-510 but the banding and noise is sometimes pathetic. I do not want to come across as complaining and I'm not but before I shell out more cash for lenses and successor bodies I need to atleast know they are taking care of this situation as I dislike noise a lot. My position is somewhat more unique than many guys here on the forum because I'm not overly invested in Olympus (or perhaps thats the position of most of us? -- though I've noticed many of you have the 12-60 or the 14-54); however, I would like to start purhasing some more gear. At this point I only have an e-510 with the kit lenses, fl-36, 50 f/2 and 70-300. Before I shell out for that 12-60, 9-18 and my favorite, the panny 25/1.4 (almost another $2,000) I'd like to know first that Olympus is keeping four thirds (which they are -- YES) and that they are working on clean iso performance.
