I tried 6 pages deep in the storage and media forum and found nothing on SM deals. Seems new cams are using CF more and more.

Anyone?

I don't know if this helps you, but Costco has a deal on Sandisk 128 mb card - $45 after discount. But I don't know if you have to be a member or what and they have a limit of one on the website. Might try in-store? They are supposed to be pretty good about honoring their coupons, even if you don't have the actual coupon with you.

I purchased a 128mb SM card off eBay last week, and it works great. It was $42 plus a small shipping charge, and many cards seem to be going for a similar price. The card is a Samsung and supports the panorama feature flawlessly. Just do a search for "Smart Media Panorama". There are cards from one seller showing up all the time (the one with the green background is the one I bought from). Note that I am in no way affiliated with this eBay seller, just a happy customer! I'm waiting to see how Ebay handles the last transaction I got screwed on to see if I'll ever use Ebay again.

This guy totally lied in his description but would not take the item back. The feedback thing just doesn't work.

I got one good 128mb sm off ebay for $43 including shipping. So I bid and won another, the seller took my money and sent nothing. The seller had a good rating when I bid but his rating totally crashed the day after I made the payment. He has since dissappeared and ebay is no help at all. I paid with PayPal and they were also no help at all.

I guess I got one 128mb sm for $86. I'm a little bit less enthusiastic about ebay now.

I aapreciated your story. Good to know I'm not the only one. Sorry, still, that it happened to you.

My friends use to wonder how I could put so much faith in total strangers on Ebay. I added it up the other day; I've bought and sold nearly $4300.00 of stuff on Ebay (I know this isn't much to some people) and always had smooth transactions. I figured it was because I was dealing with people with positive feedback, but the more you use Ebay, the more you realize how feedback works - or, more accurately doesn't work.

I ran into a bad apple with nothing but positive feedback. Guy screwed me out of $200.00. It sucks the way people are making money these days!

I'm going to follow it through to the fraud reporting and see what happens.
