Anyone seen a review, I have Googled and found nothing. You would think there would be a few at least....... bummer
 
Could you please email a few of the links to the reviews form the links you found in your search. All I could find were previews. You found over a million reviews. I would sure appreciate it.

It's easy. Just do a google search on "review". But I guess it won't do you much good when you're looking for reviews on something * specific*... ;-)

Yes, it flew way over my head, Just looking for a review. I like to read camera reviews especially if I am going to spend a few grand.
 
Damn guys I am looking for reviews on the Canon 50D, I'm sorry I for some reason thought I had put this in a thread about the 50D, I'm sorry for the confusion.

This particular forum is for discussion of D30/D60/10D/20D/30D/40D and 50D. That's why it might be possible to wonder which camera you were referring to.
 
I kind of wondering, why is it only one decent video review on 50D, when there's a lot of peoples claiming they own it already???

The answer is simple:

If you are a serious review sight, you don't rush your work. You want to be sure that you're being fair to the camera, because your reputation depends on it.

If you're going to be negative, you want to make sure that you've got lots of indisputable evidence to support your position. If you are going to be positive, you need enough solid grounding to avoid be labelled a fanboy.

Reasonable people do not expect that they can fully understand a camera's potential, as well as its liabilities, in a few hours or even a few days. It's one thing for some random guy on the forum, in his first post, to claim that he can render definitive judgement on a camera after handling it for a few hours, or (worse) by comparing pictures he's seen online which he didn't even take.

If your reputation matters, you take your time. You get it RIGHT.
 
I was confused by your reference to spending "a couple of grand" on a camera. Thought you must be thinking of the 5DII. The 50D is well under $2K...

Being new to photography, I thought some people might recieve a camera ahead of the retail release for the sole purpose of reviewing it. Like in the cpu bussinness and most other eletrontics. I have friends who recieves electronics weeks in advance for the sole purpose of reviewing them. That's all, you seem to think I am looking for some person to say something, so that someone else can prove them right or wrong. Sorry that really never entered my mind. I will stop asking since it seems to upset people.
