But, I also shoot with a D300. If you add up the two totals since I got the D700 it's close to 7000.

I've had the D700 since it came out and it's definitely my "goto" camera for nealy all projects.

Couple of the more fun stuff I've shot lately, both shot w/D700+14-24mm:

Roswell (yes, that Roswell) New Mexico

Mexican Wrestlers

[[ yawn ]]

Somewhere in the neighborhood of 33,000 on both bodies.

And around 174,000 on the [2] D3's.

I looked at the EXIF and found "number of shots" or something but it was inaccurate as it counted twice when saving both RAW and JPG when the shutter only clicked once.

About 5000.

4985, hoping to make number 5000 a "significant moment" in MY life, rather than "that" of a client's.

It is a wonderful beast- already made a number of 32x60 inch enlargements- stoked with the file quality.

Purchased it on 24 July in Melbourne, 1 day before the official public release.

cheers

LIFE is a 'long exposure'... and full of 'noise'. Wouldn't want it any other way!

Here's what to do. Download this tiny utility:

http://drchung.new21.net/previewextractor/

When you double click the file to open the little program, there's an option on top called "Shutter Count." Click that, then click "Run," then navigate to a recent photo, and it'll give you your shutter actuations from the photo's EXIF data. It's quick and easy. (And free!)

Hope this helps!

P.S. - the program can also preview NEF files, saving you memory since you don't have to shoot in NEF +JPG to get previews.

104 shots... for two weeks.

But I have got a full time job and I take time to shoot, watch, modify it on capture NX2, or not.

This is a so interesting body. I'm so happy to use my 60mm micro AFD on it.

I learn to feel it.

Just not to think while shooting but to know the result I'll got even watching through the viewfinder.

Can you understand this?
