LOL. We are all part of the Canon R&D dept! With film we just changed the film and didn't think anything else made much of a difference. I mean, did we worry about lens quality? It isn't so much that the new cameras are digital but that we live in a digital age and can read about new technology and see the differences, etc. You gotta admit this is one hell or an expensive hobby!The G9 is a good size and pixel count for converting to IR.
I think too many people have a nasty case of the "gotta be current"
disease. Funny how that works with digital. No one seemed to be
driven to own the newest camera body when it was film, but something
about digital makes us all desperate to give the manufacturers money.
