Thanks Robin. This was taken at Haridwar and this guy with the snake was walking away from me. I with the 18-55mm was able to take only 3 pics running after him. This was the only one that i liked.

Thanks Dez. nice to have a comment from you.

Strangely in a separate portal I had posted the same pics and 5 of 6 liked only the 2nd picture. Such a great difference in taste :-)).

Thank you all for your comments. Motivates me to try some more.

I really like this one - what a variety of emotions, not just from the individual subjects in the frame, but also from the variety as a combined whole - the motorcycle, the two men, the fence all lend to a great image because of their different expressions... to make one wonderful portrayal of the sum.... IMO :-)

I added more comments under this picture ;-), these are thoughts on some very nice captures.

Thanks for sharing!

  1. 1 - This is nice and and a pleasure to look at, in other words, nice composition and feeling, but also not very interesting.
  1. 2 - I find myself squinting trying to get the people in focus, which of course they're not, and then don't want to see the bolt and nut in focus because I find the people much more interesting and wanting more detail in the people...
  1. 3 - IMO, too centered, and too much sharpening, a little adjustment and could be a great capture IMO.
  1. 5 - Interesting face, but too many distractions I think. An uncomfortable close-up I think would work nicely here.
Again, very nice, and thanks for sharing!
