Self portrait

I was fed up with all the is the 5D2 going to be any good or not chat......
so i know its a bit bad but I actualy posted a picture!!!!! so so so sorry I
won't let it happen again :(

Glad you did. You are obviously a great looking guy. I actually have a genuine question: for a self-portrait such as this, what did you do to set the focus & exposure? Did you flash an object located where you expected to be, take a flash reading, measure the distance - then set the camera according, move yourself to the same location and then trigger the flash (timed?) - or something like that? Also curious - what f stop? 8?

I ask, in part, because sometimes I like to do some studio lighting experimenting and it's not always easy to find a willing subject. ........ but I also haven't found it to do what you've done here as a short-term alternative.

That is a weird question. So, she cannot look beautiful at 14?

Well, fine. I WAS going to go eat some Oreo cookies, but I guess now I'll have to do a situp and drink water instead. geez

I'm sorry I can't lie the wink after my statment was supposed to give it away :(
Its not me its a friend I work with I took some shots of him and his sister
so I could practice my studio work! The shot was:
Canon 5D
f.11
1/128
ISO 160 (don't know why I didn't use 100)
67.00mm
Again sorry for misleading you.

Oh. No problem at all. All your exit information and explanation now makes sense. I thought the positioning of your friend is great .... but I couldn't figure how you could have gotten it done on a self-shoot basis, except with a decent bit of luck and trial & error. Thanks.
