I was playing with actions in PS7, and cannot figure out how to create an action to convert downloaded TIFF to JPEG automatically.

The problem is that when I record the action, I open the TIFF file, and go to File - Save As - JPEG, it also records the EXACT file location that it saves to, which I do not want. Is there any other way to convert TIFF to JPEG in Photoshop?

I would like this action to process TIFF automatically into files that I can post to web.

Thank you very much for your help!

Because I am at work, I don't have the resources to tell you the exact steps. What you have to do is first open an image and record your save as JPEG action or anything else you want to do with it. Then use the Batch mode to configure, which you will tell it to suppress the save command and save in a directory of your choice. I have done this many times, especially when I want to get many pictures ready for posting on Pbase.com. Last week, I did over 1 hundred at a time without any problems. Here is what I have in my action: Resize the picture to 25%, Save As JPEG at 10 quality. Then I used Batch to process the pictures
