Matt-I am having a problem with my new 1D communicating with my computer
when I connect it. I am using an Adaptec Firewire card and the

What is the problem?
A. Is the card recognized in Device Manager & is the driver
properly installed?
B. When you plug in the 1D does the New Device Wizard come up?
C. Have you properly installed the 1D TWAIN driver?

1. Camera ONIt says camera not connected when everything is on and connected.

3. Open Remote Capture, click Connect
Doesn't on mine, but I'm running a different OS/FW card.i had the camera connected first and then turned the camera on.
would this create the problem?

Alex-Does anyon eknow if Win 98 SE even supports firewire? I thought
that you needed ME, 2000 or XP to use firewire.
