"Not wide enough"

Whining about what advice other people give seems kinda pointless to me, even though you obviously don't agree with it.

Some people do find 24mm wide enough on crop sensors, albeit most of them for a very simple reason: justifying the fact that they don't own anything wider.

Despite that, the general advice you argue with still stands true, for most people that is. A convenient zoom needs a 28mm equivalent wide angle (24mm equivalent is even better). Millions of consumers (and dozens of manufacturers) can't be wrong.

I know they are right. I usually find both 17mm and 85mm limiting on my walkaround zoom, I hate changing lenses when traveling, and would really welcome a 24-105 or 24-135 EQUIVALENT lens with EF-S mount.

Canon, Sigma or anyone else, bring on a stabilized 15-70 or 15-85 please. Apart from a couple of whiners, most people would welcome it.

Op actually was saying people who say 24mm (38mm equivalent) is not wide enough are whining. Millions of consumers and dozens of manufactures ARE wrong!
