--Here are some d60 Pictures from our 14th wedding anniversary Alaska cruise. Shots on the ship at ISO 400 & 800, Glaciers from the balcony of the ship, eagles and whales were wild, all other animals were in a wildlife reserve close to Anchorage. You might find them interesting I left them at full res in case anyone wants to download them to check them out. They were all shot in large mode. I used a 100-400L IS, 70-200L IS, 28-70L and 16-35L for the shots. This was my first chance to use the camera since it arrived, so I had to do a lot of on the job learning. most shots were taken while in motion so I did not get to set them up.

Not sure what you are after as far as comments but some thoughts.

Narrow down the pictures. Find the good ones (like img_1003-> 1006) and
post those. Show everyone the best. This is good even if sharing for the
family. Let people see the highlights. This might only be 8-20 pictures.

Do some post processing on them. img_1003 through 1006 simply look amazing
if you do an auto level on them. Most look a bit soft.

As for 1003... Do an autolevel... Resample to 1/4 res and do a little
Unsharp Mask. It looks really really good.

Thanks for the comments and processing tips,

I originally posted these for the Cruise Critic forum to show pictures of what they can expect on the ship. Then they asked for pictures of the glaciers. As you pointed out, I have not yet done any post processing on them. I really had no specific reason for posting them here except that they were taken with the D60. Thought they might be interesting to some.

I guess you're liking the camera as much as me. I enjoyed your pictures. We just got back from a 25th anniversary cruise and I put a few of ours out there as well. If interested, see:

David,

Great Shots!!

We did not go to Glacier Bay or the Land tour. Ours went from Vancouver to Seward, and stopped at Hubbard Glacier. We did not have any pretty sunsets except for the night I was in the Casino and I missed it. (Lost some money too) This trip gave me a great chance to learn my camera without the 4 kids around to keep me from it.
