3.5" swivel, life histo, raw, motion detection

Nice!

I almost didn't click on this post because I'm so sick of the silly "Do you think the Gxx needs/will have?".

That looks great, and I didn´t even know that such a thing was possible.

Could you please name the components you used there? Is that a Canon propietary connector or what? (Thinking about using with other manufacturers... ;-)

Gracias compañero.

Thanks for the reply, Costa, but I´m afraid I´m way more lost than that: I don´t know what "monitor" you´re using there, or what´s the platform you mounted it on. I don´t even know which type are those connectors you´re showing, and therefore, if I can use them with other camera brands.

(I picture your setup with a Pana FZ28, for example, or even with a DLSR with live view, and the thing looks sweet... ;-)

If you could elaborate a little more, I would appreciate it.

Thank you.

as for the monitor, I mentioned the brand name above, and here you get all the info:

the interesting part is this little gem (I got it for 100$ 3 years ago) has a video in port, so all cameras with a video out can be connected to something like that. It also can playback your fotos from sd card or record a videostream.

Thanks for that link, pity that it seems discontinued now. I´m sure it must be similar devices out there, and perhaps something slightly smaller would be even more convenient (to suit my needs, at least).

If anybody else has tried this method with any other cameras (and specially DSLRs), please let me know.

Thank you.
