Hi Phil.

Looks like nobody here wants to take still pictures anymore. Please switch to Camcorder reviews and archive the camera stuff.

Thanks

Praying for Pro level 8mp FF and 10mp 1.6X Canon. Delusion that Canon and Oly will make a 200-400 f4:)

+1 on that.

Keep video in camcorders.

Hate me if you must.. but anyone that thinks video in a still camera is a cool thing should be sent to the cornfield.

Now if you can make my camera perform happy ending after every shot...:-)

I'm with Dennis on this.

Also can we have some server space allocated where we can upload our new videos please?

Oh and a new forum titled 'Harry Hill: Nikon vs Canon - there's only one way to find out...FIIIIIIGHT!!!!'

Hopefully all the idiots will clear off to the new forum instead of spamming the existing forums.

Rumours has it that Nikon will release the D3xs. It can do continuous AF and take 30 fps at 12 Mp. It also has an external screw adapter (from the legacy screw drive AF) that you can attach various drill bits, nail polisher, salad shredder. They are teaming up with Black and Decker in the States.

Come on Canon! Get with the program. I want a vacumn cleaner attachment though.

Cano Green Challenge, travel the world, take pictures with Canon DSLRs, all the while cleaning up the mess with the Dyson 1DMk4 Hoover Ball.

Your information is flawed. They're teaming up with Dremel.

I'm holding out for the cell phone option. I'm tired of seeing people take photos with their cell phone cameras, I want to talk on my DSLR.

New from Niklon...for the killer photographer!

Yeah, but the frame rate on that Nikon is too slow!

Funny!

You'd go blind immediately :)
How about just when I shut off the camera...It could be a custom function...Happy Ending / Sensor Cleaning / Built in Bidae with Scented Water (Violet or Fresh Mountain Breeze)

I know what you guys mean... video on photography cameras are amateur!!!

However, this is the closest you can get to a real digital cine camera for the price.

at high HD quality with 24FPS and interchangeable lenses you can shoot film the way it was meant to be shot. This is the digital version of the Bolex 16mm film camera

http://www.bolex.ch/NEW/?p=2

and yes they were all manual focus back then.. so if you ever shot 16mm you will very much appreciate this..

Now to see if Canon follows, so I can use my canon lenses to shoot a film.

Sorry if I am "intruding" from the Nikon D80-D40 forum, that is the main forum I participate in (as I own a D40, D40x and D80) and it's the same thing--I love Nikon mind you, but people act like this is like the invention of the MP3 or VCR or something. It's totally nonsense, they're hardly mentioning the SLR-oriented improvements (high-ISO, 3" high resolution LCD, better metering hopefully) hardly any bit at all.

All over a freaking YouTube mode.

C'mon why are you 50D posters whining, you have a great new option. I'm a Nikon shooter and I think it looks good. I would expect this "where's my movie mode" stuff from the soccer mom Rebel owners, not you.

Sorry if I've intruded, think that's enough from me via the Nikon D40-D80 camp.

I don't know if you noticed, but there are a lot more
digital camera reviews here other than just DSLRs and almost
every single one of them has a movie mode. At the
P&S level it is now a standard option.

Lenny,

How well does it work with the adapter? Does IS on the lens still work?

I have 14 Digital P&S camera and all of them have movie mode. I don't use them. I did try them but they are not worth it because they are the equivalent of a photo snapshot.

I do understand that movie is a great thing but if you are lugging around a DSLR with lenses, you would want your movies to be of similar, comparable quality and bring along a nice HD camcorder. For the price of a good L lens, you can get a nice HD camera.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind if future DSLR have them. But to complain that this is a critical feature on a DSLR is funny.

Hahaha, this DSLR story is really funny.

Today, Nikon adds video capability into their mid-end DSLR D90. Who knows, maybe 2 year later, they will add some more extra functions, just as microwave oven, or a washing machine.

If that happen, I will definitely leave Canon and turn to Nikon, hehe.
