How is full frame important to you?

Lets do the math on this little setup... 500mm f/4 x 1.6 x 1.4 = 1120mm f/5.6?

and you need "just a little more"? HAHAH

It made me thing of a line from a Mel Brooks movie... "Spaceballs"

1120mm you could see nose hairs from 50-60yards

My Sigi 12-24 need a new backend and i considering the 135 as a partner....... guess FF is the best choice and the current 5D has what I need, just waiting to see if the price drops ............

It all depends on the subject...

This guy was obliging and let me get close 500mm with 1Dmk2N... Where I shoot we have no fences, bars or cages to keep our subjects at a reasonable distance all my subjects (Except pets) are wild not zoo animals...

but sometimes a 500 is just not enough or just borderline...
