Do a search on E-bay for ETX90RA. I got mine for under 200 bucks. There are usually a bunch of them there... Brand new.

Thanks Ron. I have noticed the EC and RA. Anything that I should know about the differences between these two models? Is the RA somehow limited in some way compared to the EC? Thanks

Brand New 707 and Loving It!

Wow, I can even see the man on the moon eatting the cheese!
Fine photos. Havent seen results that good in a long time.
It wasn't even quite dark yet when I took these. There are a lot of clouds tonight and I had a small window of oportunity. So I took it ;-)

I am so happy with the results.... wait until I figure out how to use the darn thing ;-)

Thanks so much...... I am totally in awe of this little
telescope... Sure is goofy looking when the 707 is hanging off of
the top ;-)
How about posting a picture of that? Assuming you have a second
camera. :)

Thanks Ron. That's a good point. This will be my first telescope, so maybe it would be wise for me not to go and blow a ton of money on one before I even know what I am doing with one. I'll keep my eye out for the RA.
Thanks Ron. I'll be on the look out now for the RA.
The RA has the same optics as the EC..... just none of the bells
and whistles... The computer control would be nice.... but the day
I can't find the moon.... well.... get me a rocking chair ;-) It
would be handy if I wanted to look at M-34 or something like that.

One other question...Do you mean the Scopetronics Digi-T attachment, # DT40 that sells for $59 or the Scopetronics Max View 40, #MV40, that sells for $129? Thanks

I've just selected a Tasco 450x telescope as my 10-year service award (I work for Cap Gemini Ernst & Young). I'm hoping to get some good moon shot too.
