A200 Not Recommended for Left-Eyed Shooters!

I am a right hander and left-eyer, so I guess it's not always linked
(?).
I suspect for a lot of folks the eye they use with the camera is a learned thing rather than as hardwired as left or right hand. I don't remember reading a study on it.

Do note that being left eyed or right eyed is a born feature. Not one
can choose or so ... There are plenty of left eyed photographer ( oh
Yes, I am one too ). I certainly do not find such comment funny. It
just plain and factually state what's the problem there for us left
eyed people.

Yes, but would it not depend on the length of the photographer's nose as to whether or not it could hit the button and trigger the auto-focus? DPR should have given a minimum nose length for left eyed people. More precise.

I wanted to click on Sigma, but accidently clicked Sony and ended up in your forum. Maybe I should have bought Sony too, at least it's fun in here! :D

I mean a left eyed person with a "button nose" would actually have no problem accidentally actuating the auto-focus button with their nose because it would be too short. Now after reading the A200 DPR review, it is obvious that to be "button nosed" means you must have a large nose! Did anyone else notice this dichotomy?

Break nose and let it hang more to the left so that it wont interfere with the controls. I broke mine when i was a boy and it slightly points to the left. Always bothered me up until now.

Phil, in answer to your question. Yes, we did notice, we just didn't comment. I think that holds true for the majority that read the review. :-0

I'm kinda partial to video, but I'm hangin!

A couple of years back we did a poll and there were as many left eye users as right eye users...

Ah, now we have a formula for fun:

1. A little mind!
2. A couple of irritable left-eye shooters!

3. A left-eye shooter with a good sense of humor and who knows how to utilize his nose to the fullest!
4. And a Sigma user who is a bit clumsy with his index finger!

It's a beautiful day! Don't let it get away! Go out an shoot some with the other eye!:)

I'm blind of my left eye, Do I deserve you laughing of possible left-eye users?

Well, that said, I own an A200 and I don't have any kind of problem with nose start AF.

Nah! Of course not. It's the last thing I'd do. This is about those who have a choice.

Ah, let's rest this thread now.:(
