need feedback PLEASE !

I have procastinated for a good 3 months now as to my final choice in Digital cameras (have been using a Canon Rebel for 3 years now), and I am just waiting for the reviews on the coolpix 5700 and Olympus 720 to come out.

My 2 questions to you knowledgeable people is this...

I am willing to spend up to $1500.00 and my higest preferences are resolution - (macro and distance), sports shots and print up to 8 by 10.
1) I need opinions based on the above ?
2) Can I use my lens from my Rebel in say the D30 ?

Hi Edward

When you're making your decision it may be worth your while to also consider the Minolta Dimage 7i. 5MP, 28-200mm zoom with macro at both ends of the range. 7 fps mode (though at lower res).

Just a suggestion.

You clearly should consider a used or factory refurbished D-30. Since you already have lenses for the Rebel and possibly other accessories. I think ebay has some for around $1200. When the D-60s are more accessable that price will even be less.
