My Boss Reciently decided it was time to replace an
older Hp laser printer that had been acting up, He is also
a bit of a photo buff and was looking for a high quality
photo printer as well. Well The new printer arrived yesterday
he bought a Tecktronics (XEROX) Phaser 8200. All I can say
is WOW what a printer. It uses inks that look like little little blocks
of colored wax and the photo prints comeing of this thing that
I have shot with my F-601 are absolutly incredible, They are
virtually indestnguishable from a photo lab print when printed
on to photo paper. Just amazing Ink cost is around 40cents
per 81/2 X 11 Sheet . The printer is just to expensive for home use
right now as it cost 3,500 dollars CDN but if this technology comes down
in price some what say goodbye to your inkjet it will be toast for sure.
I have already run up a $6.00 tab for prints in just two days, this
could get rather expensive if I'am not carefull.
