It'd be interesting to be able to compare, directly, images form the CP5700 with images from the Fuji S2 Pro. Is there a way to do that?
Thanks

Thanks Lin. The CP5700 is not an SLR, but like the F707 it's a five megapixel camera. Should be comparable. Anyway, I know more than I wanna know about the Dimage 7.Hi Tom,It'd be interesting to be able to compare, directly, images form

Why would that be more interesting than comparing say a Sony F707
or a Dimage 7 or some other five megapixel camera to any other
large sensor removable lens SLR model?
The consumer cameras are not going to be able to compete head to
head with the large sensors in the removable lens SLR's. It's just
not a useful comparison. The larger sensor is always going to
produce a better signal to noise ratio and take cleaner images with
all other factors being relatively equal - such as lens selection,
lighting, etc.
If you need the quality of the removable lens SLR, then buy an S1,
S2, D1X, D1H, D30, D60, D100, DCS-760 or Contax. If you need a
great consumer camera, then choose one of the available four or
five megapixel models that suit your own shooting style and needs.
No matter how much we "want" to think that we might get BMW
quality and performance for Ford prices, it's not going to happen.
There is a place for each and we should choose the way we want to
go within our means and be happy with our decision.
Best regards,
Lin
