LR2 - do you like it?

LR is a great program I think. However color Is still not as good with capture one, specially reds/warm colors.LR seems to have a mustard tint on warm colors that is near to impossible to correct. You can not use this software for critical color jobs.It just plain SUCKS.When ever they get around to fix the color issue, then LR will be no 1.But not just yet...If you dont believe this download the demo version of both software and draw your own conclusions...I love the preset look you can get with LR but...we must see some real color...

I work completely color managed.I know what I m doing my friend. You
can see additional work of mine here: http://www.pahountis.gr .
I might not know everything but I ve been around the block more than
once...
There is significant new calibration, and adjustment functionality with the Profile Editor. You might try it to see if you can dial in exactly the color you want.

I'm a little surprised there is a consistent cast though. That would generally indicate a white balance issue or lighting that is very different from the references we use for calibrating cameras. Would be interesting to see some examples.

I will look into that.I m sorry for not posting an example at this time,I will however post the original raw files some time in a hotlink so others can see as well.I m talking about the raw files that I shoot in a rush and the white balance is off at capture time, let say you shoot daylight with tunsten lighting. And yes I do not bother to be dead accurate in my white balance during capture.Im more concerned about capturing the moment then my focusing and exposure. This is why I shoot raw.And by the way I like everything else in lightroom.

I don't need to see your work and I don't really care if you've been around the block more than once. I know for a fact that you can use Lightroom and ACR for color critical work. Just as you can DPP or Capture. Just saying it sucks means you've hit a wall somewhere. Doesn't mean you can't work past it.

--Please do not mind me...I apologize. However I do appreciate suggestions and not just a single sentence.LR has so many sliders that I m sure you can get the colors you want,If you have all day...

...Please let me say this:

I don't have the slightest idea if you know how to calibrate your cameras or have the tools, patience and mastery to tore down that LR wall others say you've stumbled upon.

What I do know is that your wedding portfolios are exquisite, completly connected with the depicted people and, quite simply, one of the best I have come across.

Please accept my humble congratulations on your very fine photography and the certified guarantee that your vision is well above any meager (...and probably unnecessary...) color tweaks.

Only a $99 dollar upgrade in North America. In Australia, it costs us about as much to upgrade as it costs North America to buy the complete program.
