hey all,

Can someone please help me, I have been sent some photo's from a family member which they thought they would play around with, one of them after scanning it in, they thought they would modify using the negative "option".....is there a way of reversing this with photoshop or any other software so i can see the normal photo....

(yes i could ask them to send the normal one, but i am still also learning to play and modify photo's etc and this one interests me...)

Click Image, Click Adjust, then click Invert.

Adobe makes Photoshop harder to use than necessary so the people who use it can feel superior.

In fairness, a lot of the keyboard shortcuts were great and much easier to use back in the old MS-DOS days. Now that Windows has been around and functional for 7 years or so (counting from Windows 95), Adobe could really use to do some work on its interface to make it easier to use for those of us who prefer to use the mouse over memorizing obscure keyboard shortcuts like "ctrl-I".
Hold down the control key on your keyboard and then press "I"

With your mouse, click on Image > Adjust > Invert from the drop-down menu. (You'll notice that the ctrl-I shorcut is listed next to the menu function, so that if you use that function alot, you may choose to start using the shortcut, but it's completely optional if you choose to use that keyboard shortcut instead of your mouse.)
