S602 iPhoto Compatible?

Hi

As your topic is looking a bit lonely I have just tried.

Firstly I dont use osx much as some of my software works best in 9 rather than in classic under x, I have i photo 1.0 which may have upgraded itself with software updater.

On attaching the 602 the microdrive icon showed, and it opened iphoto on clicking, and I imported the pics.

Finepix viewer is also osx ready so you'll have no problems!

Just ordered an S602 and I was wondering if any of you Mac users
know if this camera is fully compatible with iPhoto?

Yes, it is. I just bought the camera and it works with my two iMacs, one with OSX 10.1.5 and the other with Jaguar preview. When you connect the camera with USB port and there is almost a picture inside it iPhoto will start and show a generic icon with the name of the media inserted into the camera... The functionality is the same: you could transfer pictures and delete it directly. In spite of what declared, the Carbon version of Finepix Viewer installer freezes when you try to install in MacOS X, so, you have to use only the OS 9 version (blame Fuji).

Same here.. tryed iPhoto ans iView Media Pro first without installing the Fuji
software. Works without any problems.

After that i wanted to take a look at the Finepix software, but the installer also freesed.

When I looked at the log I found out it could not find Stuffit Expander, wich I happen

to have stored in another directory. After copying the expander app to the default location
(in the utillities folder) the install process worked fine.

However, the Finepix software is horrable compared to iPhoto and iView Media Pro, so I
allready deleted it again ;)
