Sad story but I do love the pictures (like always).
Left me with one question, which one is the male?

Thank you for sharing.
Hi Bimo,

Thanks for your very kind words and I'm sorry but I can't answer on that question, I know one of the people there and next time I will ask him, but I have the impression that the blond one must be the male (not sure at all).

With very kind regards,

Dirk

Dirk, great as always. Good composition.

My wife is even recognising your pictures. She says, when seeing
them, that's from that belgian person, isn't it?

Keep posting,

Evert
Hi Evert,

Thanks very much for the very kind words and that's fun that your wife can recognise them, some other people also mentioned that they thought that they could detect that pictures are mine even when I would not mention my name (maybe I will arrange a test one day to find that out).

With very kind regards,

Dirk

When I looked at the first picture, I thought, How sweet - she has to say YES. So when I saw the second one, I felt badly for the poor animal. They do have feelings very obviously. Great shots.

Hi Muriel,

Don't feel badly, they are big friends, I will post another one later to prove it. And indeed they have feelings and look very human.

Dirk, you should send some of these to the Hallmark greeting card company! I mean, look at it!.... he's asking so earnestly!! I think she must've said, "Let me think about it"

Hope you enjoy these.

Dirk
I did enjoy them Dirk, you did a wonderful job of capturing their
expressions. As we all know that's not easily done when they can
change in an instant. Well done!

Dirk - wonderful shots working on so many levels. Too many times I just oooh and aaah at a photo and wonder 'what settings did he/she use?' but not with those, I just want to enjoy the moment without analizing it. The emotions simply pour out of the screen and even tho they are stills, it feels like I'm watching a complete scene unfold. Thank you.

Hi Rita,

Thanks very much, I like their expressions very much, the seem so human. And you are right it changes so fast that I never use a tripod for these pictures, I will most of the interesting ones then.

Hi Jarrell,

I looked at some of your new post and loved the portrait series and your great explanation there, I also love daylight. Sorry that I didn't comment the last week, but I'm overwhelmed with work, had to work 16 h. a day the last week. Hope to have some more time end of the week. And thanks for your very kind comment, I first would extend my animal series and enjoy them before doing something with them. One of my clients want to use 25 of them in a selfpromotional brochure for their company.

With very kind regards,
Dirk

Hi Phil,

Thanks for your very kind and interesting comment, I really appreciate it. Trying to capture emotions from animals is what I like to do very much.

With very kind regards,
Dirk

yes, dirk, we love your photos, and some of us are starting to love
you too! i mean, there's got to be a great person behind such
photos!

cheers,
pns
Hi pns,

Thanks for your very kind words, I really appreciate them and I think that what's in my pictures is the great respect and admiration that I have for animals, and I'm always searching to capture their behaviour or feelings. I made a lot of other interesting ones and will make a part 3 of my Zoo collection when I find some time.

With very kind regards,

Dirk

Hi Dirk,
Very nice. Was this taken with some burst function. It doesn't
seem like the dark monkey has moved at all?

Hi Mark,

Thanks very much. I take a whole series of these apes and the dark one didn't move for some time, some of them are sitting there for many seconds or even minutes in the same position and sometimes they move all the time, it's not easy to get them because they are sitting inside and after quite dirty glass, so I have to search to get uninteresting things out of my viewfield and also have to avoid dirty spots in the glass.

With very kind regards,

Dirk

Dag Dirk...

Heb je iets "te doen" met Vakantiegenoegens Nationaal..:-)
I am not joking this time...

Theo
Dag Theo,

Dirk
