Adobe Photoshop Element - E20N Photo Print

After taking a photo with my E20N and downloaded it, I resized the photo via Adobe Photoshop Element to 800 X 600. I tried to print it on a
6 x 4 card, but the picture was still too big for that size of a card.

After reading the value guidance I've been getting here (Thanks everyone), I always thought when you resized your picture to 800 x 600 you could print it on any size photo paper. I am kind of confuse right now.
Need your guidance again...

HI melvin,

I usually keep the size intact, & instead opt to let the printer shrink the print size for you. At "print preview", select "scale to fit media".

Why would you buy a 5 megapixel camera, then resize your image to 800 x 600?

All the good folks here have been very helpful with their advise and guidance to this wet behind the ears E20N user. So I was told to resize it to 800 x 600 to send it via email.

Okay Gary, I saved that pic (800 x 600) and tried to print it on a 4 x6 or is it 6 x 4 photo card. I did not use my original download picture.

melvin follow nelson advise
tell the printer to resize for print area

follow your printer setup info before you hit the print tab.....
800x600 size is far to large to print
on a 4x6 if you dont tell the printer
what you want to do.......
the adobe software dosent tell your
printer what to do all by itself....
you have to tell it what you want it
to do..........go into your printer setup
mode and look around......go into the
advacned tab and see what's
available....... printer's are like to old
adige.... you cant but a 10 pound
ball into a one pound bag.....cu
