Photography & Integrity

Wow, members of the Flat Earth Society gathered to discuss what to do.
They feel threaten.

The subject of this thread is "Overstating film merits" and they jump out of their skins.
They know that some of them constantly do it.
What are they to do?

One threatens to sue, the other threatens to push the complaint button, the third one pathetically points to imaginary grammatical errors on my site.
They start exchanging emails, wow a major problem on their hands.
...and they constantly talk about insecurity among digital users.

Guys, THIS IS A DIGITAL forum. most members DON'T CARE ABOUT FILM.

you started this silly thread, I comment on the fact that you are one of those on this site that love to badger and insult, and your site is NOT fine... seriously, you need someone to fix your text. Remember, glass houses next time you insult other people and their photos.

man, you are either delusional or uneducated. How about asking one of your grammar school teachers to read the text on your site, see what they say...or if you'd like, I'd be happy to email you with the corrections. Remember, you started this baited thread knowing full well that the film regulars would respond. Now you take delight in insulting them, which makes you pretty petty.

Again, let me know if you'd like me to make the corrections for you on your professional website. Seriously.

Thanks for you concern. but I think the problem is in your mind.

Charlesh, charlesh, this is not nice, I thought that you object insulting others. Not nice my boy, you throw insults.
Thanks for your offer, I still think that the problem is in your mind.

I guess my thread threw you off balance, relax, we won't take the film away from you.
You must be happy now.
Have a nice day. (Go out and take a walk)
Again, let me know if you'd like me to make the corrections for you

No the subject of this thread is "Photography and integrity"

you are suggesting people are pushing film by misleading and basically lying to customers.
They know that some of them constantly do it.
Prove it how am I lying to my customers-please prove it- honestly prove or retract..
What are they to do?

Capitalisation doesn't save you, no one here is pushing film, something you seem to be unable to understand- this is a digital forum and one you are using for personal attacks- where is the digital content in that?
Using a forum for your personal crusade
I pity you

childish person, you know? You may officially get the last word in after this, or maybe you'll just stick your tongue out at me. You started a very stupid thread and now react childishly, as always, when others join you in your petty barbs.

And your website...I am being absolutely serious, you do have many grammatical and capitalization errors, are redundant in a few spots, and need to weed out the weaker images. You keep saying I don't know what I'm talking about...I've been to your website and even commented on the errors months ago in another of these silly threads. You obviously can't see to what I am referring...I'll email you with the errors and corrections you should make when I have the time. Seriously.

professor, if you failed to understand the subject, the issue is "Overstating film merits"
which affects digital photographers.
Guys, THIS IS A DIGITAL forum. most members DON'T CARE ABOUT FILM.
Then why did you choose this forum to start such a stupid argument?
The only thing that is stupid is your remark. Professor I'm not in your class room.
Professor Mike, next time I will consult you where to post my threads.
By the way professor, it isn't the first time that you jump me.

Seriously.
You are pathetic, I'm concerned about you, you sound like a broken record.

I know that you have a problem with my site, but it is in your mind. I can't help you with it.
If it bothers you so much, go and see a specialist.

No You have used a public forum to attack photographers for their lack of integrity in advising the use of film- that is not an issue that affects digital photography.

basically you started this thread to call people liars.

Do you still think I mislead my clients?

Would you consider overstating film merits, as opposed to digital, to
potential clients, a dishonest and un fair practice?
Should the photographer spell out the disadvantages with film usage?
In responce to this thread Mark Smith writes:
"Doesn't Happen Joe.

Most wedding photographers use digital, I believe not only is it easier to shoot digital but its better for weddings"
Then he forgets what he wrote and makes my point.

"Yes clients DO ask for film sometimes but my reference to 'doesn't happen' is that people don't force film down peoples throats due to lack of integrity"

So, from categorically stating " Doesn't Happen Joe" Meaning: clients never ask for film, he admits, "Yes clients DO ask for film sometimes"

I suggest to you that at this day and age clients don't even raise the medium issue
unless they are steer to it by the photographer.
Yes, he contradicted himself, there is a BIG gap between "Doesn't happen" and
"clients DO ask for film sometimes" I still think that he was dishonest.

No what i meant when "i stated doesn't happen Joe".

It was WRT to pushing film on customers doesn't happen, of course some clients ask for film- that's obvious though not a regular thing.

what I mean as a Photographer I give the client what he/she want's that i don't ram my personal preferences down their throats.
Your weak attempt to paint me as a liar, is pitiful

Read the whole post for context (hint it's the bit you cropped out that explains the context)

Still think I decive and lie to my customers?
just say yes or no, you know simple question

By the way professor, it isn't the first time that you jump me.
Then you must have started an equally silly thread somewhere else. Do you really keep score?...

In case you'd forgotten: cameras are just tools. It's the picture that matters. Colour, composition, mood, getting an image that catches the moment... whether you choose to do it with a DSLR, a Mamiya 6x7 or a biscuit tin with a piece of photographic paper taped inside and a pinhole in the lid is irrelevant as long as you deliver the goods.

Just out of curiosity I visited your web site. You might want to run a spell checker on it. As a prospective customer, who will hopefully be engaging several wedding photgraphers over the next decade, I would find that sort of carelessness and lack of attention to important detail far more worrying than what tools you use to do the job.

If any exisit, why not mention them ... I always thought things like sundowns worked better with film but I suppose the latest DSLRs can handle that as well. I wouldn't try to sell a client film just because I didn't have the right digital equipment though.

Professor, you looked at my web site and is this the best that you were able to come up? Couldn't you bring up something original? is your imagination so limited?
Thanks for your concern, nothing to worry, I'm doing fine for the last 30 years.

What is the problem, professor, a coma is missing somewhere, or, god forbid, a full stop. Get life, don't make an a$$ out of yourself.
Professor, you keep biting the chock.
Where are your images, professor?

Joe, I've seen several syntax or capitalization errors on the front page of your site. I've also seen at least one syntax or capitalization error on all but one of your sub-sections.

If you keep denying that these errors even exist while they are so obvious, then I'm sorry to say you really are delusional.

But then, you seem to be one of those types (there are a few others on this board) that will revert to the most childish, the most immature, the most pathetic comments and replies just to avoid losing face.

It will be quite entertaining to read your reply to this post, if you reply at all.
