DUCKS

You're going to get asked what the stats are for each photo, so you might want to post that (what lens, exposure, etc.). Also, you might try the gallery for a better response unless you are trying a new lens on an xsi or xti--then there is interest....

I don't think this person wanted any critiqueing done on the photo's, he/she just wanted to show them as many here do as well without adding all the above.

I like taking shots too of nature and all it's beauty. Thanks for sharing a piece of your world.

Just don't let this little girl see them.....eeeeeeeek, she likes ducks too.

The images were taken with an XTI and the 17-85 lens. ISO set at 400. I generally shoot in aperture priority and probably shot these at around F10 to obtain greater depth of field. Bright sunny day so the shutter probably above 1/1000 of a second which allows freezing of the action.

However the bottom line is that you folks should post your images, enjoy them and share. There is another forum I regularly go to and those folks always have threads started of various types including street photography, dogs, cats, pets, kids etc. Frankly, it is a little more fun over there. You guys need to lighten up and have some fun. After all, the camera is just a light box (although much more sophisticated then in film days). Lenses are just pieces of glass. Photography is ultimately about the image and the vision of the person aiming the camera.

How about some more duck photos? Care to contribute?

For those of you who are crazy for quakers, here is your opportunity
to show your duck photos (I cannot recall which forum but there was a
semiregular thread of folks exhibiting their duck for photos).
the place is 'Canon digital photography forums'. i believe they always show 'duck shots' especially when someone has just got a new lens. some ppl there say it is bad luck if you dont do a duck session with your new glass and you mite end up with a oof or bad lens.
