I should have posted my exif. The first shot was f5.6, the second was at f3.5 ~ DH asked what was wrong with his wing in the second shot!

The first one is superb, TK. You may now take over for Drummer, who has been busy making music, as the official insect close-up POTD winner!

Since Drummer has identified this "fellow" as female, perhaps she was just dropping by for some "girl talk."

I think she was hoping to get published. You know how vain some women are!

Thanks for looking!

He sure does seem to be making eyes at you!! Darned if he isn't
mugging for the camera in the second shot!! What amazing apparatus
their eyes are. I wonder what it's like to see out of them -- I mean
how do they see the world?
Maybe it's like looking through our fisheye lenses?

I think he has an eye for you! It is a nice shot. I'm not sure what kind it is but think it may be a female Yellow Legged Meadowhawk. They aren't very big and the male is red.

Yeah, I already had my bubble burst on the flirting thing1

I wondered why she seemed small for a dragonfly but too big to be a damselfly.
