Couple of Snow images

Hi Dirk,

No snow here now. The temp reached 90F for the first time this season so a little cooling off was needed.

Stan
Hi Stan,

Very nice pictures, love the color touch in the snow very much,
makes it very interesting. Is it still snowing in your area ?

With very kind regards,
Dirk

Hi ac,

I finally found these images on a cd. I wanted to post them for a while but could not find them. Now seemed to be a good time as we reached 90F for the first time this summer and a relief was called for.

I personally liked the first for the yellow umbrella. I opened my front door to look a the snow and spotted the person walking in the middle of the street with the yellow umbrella. Ran in to get the camera and ran behind her to get the shot.
The second one had an interesting shadow, I thought.
I am glad they had the desired effect of cooling you off.

Stan
Stan,

I was pretty surprised to see these photos, since it's 80 degrees
outside here, and I haven't heard of any freak snowstorms in NYC :)
I surely love the look of them. The yellow and red make good
contrasts to the snow. I like the lone figure trudging along the
snowy street in the first one.

AND, they make me feel cooler!

Hi Bryan,

The temp in ny reached 90F and I thought it would be nice to remind people about how much we cursed the cold weather. I really liked these images when I took them and lost them to a cd which I recently found.

Stan
Hey Stan,
I like them both. But being a surfer I really like the shark one. :-)
Just a oly brio-150 at the moment

Hi Bryan,

It is not snowing here in NYC. As a matter of fact the temp reached 90F here so I thought about cooling people off with some snow pics. Glad you like them.

Stan
Hey, come on Stan here we are in the UK in June and we still have
rain most days. Haven't had any summer yet and you're talking about
Winter already!

I will forgive you though as the photographs are so well done. I
specifically like the first one which conveys many things - bad
weather - hurrying home to the family - thinking about a log fire
and so on.

Very nice Stan and thanks for sharing. I enjoy the winter season
but we no longer get those exciting winters in UK now - we don't
get much sun either.

Keep them coming.

What if, this is as good as it is going to get?

Hi John,

Having lost both of my parents I can empathize with your loss. Fortunately, family and friends help maintain a sense of identity and continuity even when faced with such a great loss. I am happy to see that your expanded family includes the good people on this forum which has really turned into a supportive community.

Stan
Hi Stan,

I just got my first sunburn today working outside so this looks
nice and cold - kinda of hits the spot :)

I really like the first picture. The umbrella just leaps out at
you from all of that white.

Thanks for your kind words this past week - I really appreciate
your support.

Regards
John

Hi Stana,

I love the yellow umbrella in snow pic. Very atmospheric and moody. Well done, although I don't think I'm ready to see snow here in Wisconsin for a while.

Thanks for posting,

Mark

Hi Mark,

I had printed that image and then lost track of where the jpg file was. I recently found it on a cd and couldn't wait to post it.
