I also used Wal-Mart for my digital prints, and was VERY pleased!!..

I logged onto their website and uploaded them from there. I guess the only gripe I had, was that it took about 10 days to receive the prints (I had them sent to my local wal-mart to be picked up). But all in all, a great service that I shall use again!!
Excellent. This is more than just a few people that have had good
luck there.
Did you take them in on cd?
Were they straight out of the camera?
Any other details or helpful suggestions if I go over there?

Go here to view some photos taken with Sony DSC-P71. Will be updating on a regular basis.

I bring my images to Sam's Club, a subsidiary of Walmart. They use the new Fuji processor, and the results are magnificent! The cost is only 20 cents a 4X6 print, not bad:) and it takes normally 1 hour to process, even when I brought in a CD with over 300 images. The only problem is that you should use the 3:2 image size setting, otherwise you might get some unexpected cropping. Sam's Club accepts all storage media Memory Stick. The CD had to be closed though...not sure what that means, but that is what they had always told me.

I am glad you brought the 3:2 image size up.

Some of the photos I got back were a little cropped.

So you would advise taking photos at the 3:2 setting??

Thanks in advance!

If you can get in and see the pics, then you will see the 3 images that I used, ..

All I did was upload the images, right to there photo gallery that they give you and then ordered the prints and had them sent to me ,. I did not edit them at all , they came straight out of the camera .. as is

FYI Joel, an "open" CD-R allows you to add files to that CD-R later as long as there's space. However it may cause problem because some CD-ROM drives can't read an "open" CD-R. That's why they want you to bring in a closed one.

I have been having a SuperWal-Mart print most of my prints so far. If you take them in on disk , make sure they have a Fuji 370 or 390 printer. If it is an older SFA 200 series printer it will not do pictures from a disk. As for closed CDs that just means that the disk can no longer be written to. I have never closed any of mine and they print just fine. (They also told me they can only print .jpg files. This is untrue as I know someone who works at a Wal-Mart and he has printed .bmp and .tiff images.)

The only thing I dont care for with the minilabs is they ONLY use the 'luster' paper. I would prefer gloss. I guess that is what Ofoto is for. :-)

I have Duct Tape and I am not afraid to use it.

I have used Walmart for prints and was happy with the results. I don't like the time it takes to get them back compared to some of the others (shutterfly, ofoto, etc.). Using my F707 with the highest settings I have to resize my files when uploading because there is a 2 meg limitation on the files Walmart allows for uploading. I don't mind all that because the PRICE is great for each 4x6 print.

I ordered 4x6 prints from WalMart too, but I must say I wasn't satisfied. The dynamic range of the prints seemed poor to me, all shadows were black.

If I need a bunch of party pictures to give out to my friends I would use WalMart because of the price.
If I need a few high quality prints I would go with Ofoto.
