When you shoot raw, a medium size jpg is also embedded. Using the converter software you can choose to extract the jpg file. This is great to look at an image prior to post processing a raw file.

When you shoot in RAW mode on the D60 a Medium file Fine resolution jpeg is automaticaly created. When you transfer the RAW files to your pc the Canon software gives you the option to exract and save the jpeg as well. These jpegs are ideal for standard 6"x4" prints. Have fun.
