very dull....lets see what you can do for this puppy.

Created a new layer and filled it with blue sampled from the upholstery. Then inverted, which neutralized the blue on the dog. Reduced the opacity to taste and finally used a mask to bring back the original upholstery.

My fancy equipment does a great job of capturing reality. Fortunately, I can fix that with Photoshop.
