Nikon D40 users - have you bought a camera case yet ?

Am I the only one who bought the D40 "accessory kit" from Best Buy as
a package with the camera?
I looked at it for my D40X but couldn't fit the camera, three lenses (18-55VR, 55-200VR, and 50mm 1.8), filters, extra memory cards, and extra battery into it and zip it up. The saleslady tried, too; but she didn't have any luck either.
I got a Nikon bag that holds the camera, charger, cord, extra
battery, my ancient flash, and it has a spot for an extra lens. Until
I get an extra lens, it currently holds my JVC HDD Video Camera. The
bag is fairly comfortable and holds my camera nicely with room to
spare for small accessories.
Wow! I didn't even have the charger, cord, or flash with me to try to fit into the bag. I need to take a lesson from you on how to pack a camera bag! (That looks like a sarcastic remark, but believe me; it's not. I admire anyone who can pack a bag efficiently.)
The accessory kit came with the aforementioned bag, a book on Nikon
cameras and digital photography, and an extra battery for $99.
Yup, that's the one. I wanted it, but didn't really need another battery (I have two), and wasn't able to fit all my stuff into it.

I have two Lowepro bags: 1) a Topload Zoom mini - which will carry
only the camera with the kit lens + the SB400 flash unit, and 2) a
Lowepro Slingshot 100 aw which holds the above geat + a 55-200 lens +
several miscellaneous goodies. The 1st bag is great for general get
togethers, parties, etc and the 2nd bag is good for travel where the
entire inventory is needed. These are an excellent bad duo. Neither
is too bulky.
Looked at the Lowepros and Ordered the Topload 1. Just a little bigger than the Mini (around 1 inch each way) but it will hold a 55-200vr lens on the camera. Thanks for the suggestion, nice small carry bag for short ventures. Only 24.95 shipped.

I have the Tamrac Velocity 7X. The configuration is is great and it is very comfortable for carrying on hikes etc. without strain. However, in hind site, I wish I had gone one size larger. It will hold the VR70-300 along with the kit lens but it is a snug fit.

Admittedly, I probably carry too much. Being a female of the species I like to throw a wallet and an emergency epipen (due to severe allergy issues) in my camera bag and not have to mess with a purse.

Well, I decided to go for the Tamrac Velocity 5X for my D40, the kit lens, and the 55-200. I can convert from a shoulder bag to a hip pack, and there is plenty of room for the camera, two lenses, the charger, and still more room for another lens (I hope to pick up a prime lens in the near future). That should be enough to get my feet wet in the DSLR world.

Oops...I thought I was posting to a different thread...sorry!
