prehistoric?It's a bigun' too - over 6" long! Anyone have a clue
what kind of Dragonfly it is?!
yup! That's the one! Man, I wouldn't touch that thing - that person is brave! lolCould be a Swamp Darner. Darners are the largest dragonflies.

when i arrived in NC for grad school a few years ago the first thing that shocked me was the SUPERSIZED bugs. I couldn't believe how big! Spider webs 10' across with giant 1.5" inch BODIES. Every bug species was like 50-150% larger than in a sensible place like NJ haha and there were new one species too, oh there were new ones haha.So the "six inches" is not a typo - d@mn. I didn't know if you were
kidding or not when you replied to me but I sure wouldn't blame you
for keeping a respectable distance between you and fly-thing.
I checked your profile and see that you live in NC. No offense, but
after seeing your house guest you can bet I'll avoid visiting your
state PERIOD.

Joe Kurkjian
Now that's REALLY funny!!! lol Coming from Long Island most of my life, nothing in that area is sensiblea sensible place like NJ
